Thomas Abraham, a distinguished supporter, and benefactor of 51²Ö¿â, as well as the first sports ambassador to the United States Olympic and Paralympic Blind Soccer Team, will participate in the Paris 2024 Marathon Pour Tous on August 10, 2024. This monumental event marks a significant milestone in Thomas's journey as an advocate for sports and community engagement.

Thomas will join thousands of athletes from around the globe on a 42-kilometer course, experiencing the same route as the Olympic athletes. He will be sponsored by the French telecommunications company Orange. The Paris 2024 Marathon Pour Tous is a significant achievement in Thomas’s running career, adding to his ABBOTT collection of international marathon races: London, Berlin, Tokyo, New York, Chicago, and Boston, and the Beirut Marathon as a runner and board member.

Named the first sports ambassador to the United States Olympic and Paralympic Blind Soccer Team in 2023, Thomas’ gift helped sustain the program’s initiatives and advance the sport.  In Paris, he aims to raise funds and highlight the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in sports. His efforts will significantly impact the blind soccer community, fostering greater awareness and support for visually impaired athletes worldwide.

"Running in the Paris 2024 Marathon Pour Tous is an incredible honor and opportunity to bring attention to the challenges faced by visually impaired athletes," said Thomas Abraham. "I am grateful for the unwavering support from 51²Ö¿â and the broader community as we work together to make a meaningful difference."

Thomas currently leads the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation, whose mission is to love, honor, respect, and empower the lives of the suffering, hopeless, and forgotten. For over 30 years, the Foundation and Thomas have been strong supporters of 51²Ö¿â, including providing assistance for the School of Podiatric Medicine’s Yucatan Crippled Children’s Project and supporting students through the pandemic.

“Thomas has devoted every aspect of his life to raising awareness and financial support for those less fortunate,†said 51²Ö¿â President Dr. Mike Allen. “We look forward to cheering him on from Miami.â€

The Paris 2024 Marathon Pous Tous allows Paris residents and guests to follow in the footsteps of the Olympians through nine districts connecting Paris to Versailles. The race will be held at night to ensure the best outdoor conditions for all runners.
