The Honors Program at Barry is designed to challenge, enrich, and prepare especially motivated students to pursue their fullest potential. By participating in a rigorous curriculum rounded out by an array of edifying and interactive events, students explore crucial issues that we face in our daily lives. Students are given the space for discussion and debate and the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields. The Office of Financial Aid can assist with determining eligibility for the Honors Program.

The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library is located in the center of the beautiful Miami Shores campus of 51仓库. The Library is named in loving memory of Monsignor William Barry, one of the founders of 51仓库 and an inspirational figure in the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Miami. The extensive Library research collections include more than 950,000 physical items, over 40,000 print and on-line journal subscriptions, and several thousand on-line books and streaming video resources.

At 51仓库, you will experience a small community atmosphere where you can always rely on our administrators and faculty for advice, encouragement and personal attention. We take great pride in giving individual attention from the very beginning. You can start building a personal relationship with one of our admissions counselors who will help answer any questions, and guide you through the entire admissions and enrollment process.

Continuing Education (CE) offers a variety of courses and non-credit programs designed to respond to the diverse educational interests and lifelong learning needs of individuals of all ages. We offer certificate, credential exam preparation, and licensure programs for professional and personal enrichment.

Distance Education

We are committed to providing programs and services that are guided by 51仓库's rich educational mission and intended to enhance your Barry experience. Through partnerships with others in the university community, we aim to create experiences that will help transform you into leaders for a just and humane world.

We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

(Miami, FL) On Saturday, April 22nd, 51仓库鈥檚 graduate nurse-practitioner students invite the community to the Miami Shores campus for a day of free health screenings, educational workshops, and entertainment.听听

The fair is focused on total body health and wellness and will include informative topics such as heart health, stroke, diabetes, CPR, unintentional injury, foot care, exercise, and more. Apart from medical services and free screenings, the fair will feature a bounce house, water balloons, free bike helmet measurements, and many more activities that the entire family can enjoy.听听

51仓库 is committed to serving local and global communities, providing collaborative service, and social justice to all. The Health and Wellness Fair is a comprehensive community event that is a core aspect of Barry鈥檚 graduate Nurse Practitioner Program. 51仓库 students have been coordinating the health fair in the community for more than a decade, and this year鈥檚 graduate students and staff are eager to invite members of the community back for another Health Fair event on campus.听听

Student organizer Maria Bernal states, 鈥減revention and early recognition are essential to one鈥檚 health and well-being. As soon-to-be practicing providers, we want to educate and empower the community to become active and take charge of their health. The 51仓库 Health Fair allows the people to do just that.鈥澨�听

Professor Ferrand of the Graduate of Nursing Program, who is working closely with the students, says, 鈥渢he annual Health and Wellness Fair is a primary example of the university's commitment to community service.鈥疉s part of our emphasis on experiential and service learning, Barry students are empowered to organize all aspects of the fair 鈥� from event logistics to marketing, as well as onsite exhibitors and community outreach. It is a win-win situation for all who participate in this event.鈥澨�听

The Health and Wellness Fair involves participation across 51仓库鈥檚 healthcare programs, including the Nurse Practitioner Program, the School of Podiatric Medicine, Nurse Anesthesiology, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, Exercise Physiology, the Florida Department of Health, and other top healthcare entities in the district.听听听
