Undergraduate Students

Miami International University of Art & Design, The Art Institute of Atlanta, The Art Institute of Houston Seamless Transfer for the Art Institutes Undergraduate students The education partnership between 51²Ö¿â and The Art Institutes facilitates seamless transfer of qualified undergraduate students from The Art Institutes into 51²Ö¿â programs to ensure the continuity of their educational journeys.

  1. 51²Ö¿â will accept the Art Institutes Associate of Arts (AA) degree as a fulfillment of the general education requirements with the exception of one mandatory 3-credit Theology Course.
    • Upon satisfaction of all standard requirements for admission to 51²Ö¿â undergraduate programs, 51²Ö¿â will accept the Art Institutes students who transfer with an Associate in Arts (AA) degree at junior status.  
  2. 51²Ö¿â will guarantee admission to qualifying baccalaureate transfer students from the Art Institutes who have met all standard requirements for admission to 51²Ö¿â undergraduate programs.
    • To foster smooth transition, the University will exercise flexibility in the review and acceptance of undergraduate credits completed at the Art Institutes with a grade of ‘C’ or better, or a ‘Pass’ grade, aimed at transferring the maximum number of credits that align with the 51²Ö¿â curriculum.  
    • Undergraduate transfer students from the Art Institutes are eligible for merit-based institutional scholarships which may be stacked with any other eligible non-merit or external-based scholarships. The eligibility will be determined at the time of admission.
  3. A transfer student will have to schedule a transfer credit review with the 51²Ö¿â Transcript Evaluator to determine course equivalency for each course presented for transfer.
