The Honors Program at Barry is designed to challenge, enrich, and prepare especially motivated students to pursue their fullest potential. By participating in a rigorous curriculum rounded out by an array of edifying and interactive events, students explore crucial issues that we face in our daily lives. Students are given the space for discussion and debate and the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields. The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library is located in the center of the beautiful Miami Shores campus of 51仓库. The Library is named in loving memory of Monsignor William Barry, one of the founders of 51仓库 and an inspirational figure in the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Miami. The extensive Library research collections include more than 950,000 physical items, over 40,000 print and on-line journal subscriptions, and several thousand on-line books and streaming video resources.

We take great pride in giving individual attention from the very beginning. Continuing Education (CE) offers a variety of courses and non-credit programs designed to respond to the diverse educational interests and lifelong learning needs of individuals of all ages. We offer certificate, credential exam preparation, and licensure programs for professional and personal enrichment.

We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Graduate Students Tuition Discounts

Barry Family Discount

A 15% tuition discount is offered per semester for financially dependent immediate family members enrolled full time (6 or more credits) in a graduate degree program and聽studying simultaneously. The discount is applied to both students and is valid as long as the immediate family members are enrolled and paying tuition. Immediate family members are defined as parents, children, brothers, sisters, and spouses.

The Barry Legacy Discount

A 10% tuition discount is offered to 1) immediate family members of聽Barry alumni聽who are admitted and enrolled full time (6 or more credits) into a degree program, or 2) the financially non-dependent immediate family members of current聽Barry students. Immediate family members are defined as parents, children, brothers, sisters, and spouses.

Barry Lifelong Learning Discount

If you're an alum seeking your second Barry degree, you are entitled to a 25% discount off the prevailing flat or per-credit tuition rate. If you are seeking your third degree, you will receive a 30% discount off the prevailing flat or per-credit tuition rate.

Deadlines

The deadline to apply for program discounts is the last day of the add/drop period in every semester. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

Exemptions

Discounts cannot be combined or applied retroactively.
Discounts do not apply to tuition that is paid through an institutional grant, subsidy, or tuition assistance program
Graduate program discounts do not apply to the School of Law, School of Podiatric Medicine, Physician Assistant Program, Post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Anesthesiology, and BarryU Online programs.
