  • The deadline to apply for the Spring BSN AO program, which begins in January, is October 31st of the previous year.

  • Approximately 15-25 students are admitted to the AO track.

  • No, it's recommended to apply early so that nursing advisors can assist with planning and provide updates throughout the process.

  • If you haven't completed all the program prerequisites needed to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, you may be considered for admission to the Pre-Nursing track. Pre-Nursing is a pre-professional pathway that includes all the general education, prerequisites, and supporting courses necessary for admission to the Accelerated Option BSN. Students may transfer equivalent credits from another accredited college or university into the Pre-Nursing track.

    Our Pre-Nursing advisors, along with 51²Ö¿â's professional transcript evaluators, will work with students on an individual basis to assess transfer credits. Contact a pre-nursing advisor.

    There is no deadline to apply for Pre-Nursing. Based on the number of prerequisites completed, students will be advised of the approximate date when they will be ready to apply for the BSN program.

  • The Admissions Committee meets regularly to review completed applications. Applicants will be notified of the committee's decision shortly after their review. Please note that the decision of the Admissions Committee is final.

  • Yes, the ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is required. All applicants should strive to achieve the highest possible score to strengthen their application for admission to the BSN program, as admission is competitive.

  • Yes, there are many resources available from ATI. You can find these by using a search engine like Google and entering the term "ATI TEAS." Since this exam is widely used by universities across the nation, you'll find a wealth of resources to help you prepare.

  • Yes, online and telephone advising are available once your completed application and unofficial transcripts have been received. While initial registration requires an original signature, subsequent registrations can be completed online.

  • The Accelerated Option BSN is an intense program that demands 40+ hours per week of class, clinical, and study time to ensure success. Due to the rigorous nature of the program, students will not be able to work and should plan their finances accordingly.
