About the Program Nurse Anesthesiology (Post Graduate Certificate)

The Post-Graduate Certificate in Nurse Anesthesiology is designed for students who have already earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and wish to pursue the field of nurse anesthesiology. This program includes didactic coursework and clinical residency which will allow you to sit for the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) licensing exam.

Each student’s curriculum is individualized based on prior coursework and consultation with Program Administration. Participation in the Post-Graduate Certificate program requires approval from 51²Ö¿â’s Graduate Council and the Council on Accreditation for Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).

The Post-Baccalaureate DNP in Anesthesiology and the Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice with a Specialization in Anesthesiology Program are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs , 10275 W. All of our clinical partners are accredited through their respective health care facility accreditation organizations.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing/master's degree in nursing/Doctor of Nursing Practice and post-graduate APRN certificates at 51²Ö¿â are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20002, 202-887-6791.

51²Ö¿â is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097: Telephone number 404-679-4501) to award bachelor's, master's, specialist, and doctoral degrees.

The Council on Accreditation for Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs has extended this accreditation through 2021. For more information, please contact the Council.
