About the Program Advance your lab career with an MS, Clinical Laboratory Sciences

51²Ö¿â’s MS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences is one of very few in the country available to students in a fully online or blended online format.Ìý Using the HyFlex modality of delivery, students may choose to attend all lecture classes fully online or in-person.Ìý

Students in the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Histotechnology (HTL) specializations must be available to come in-person to our Miami Shores, Florida campus 2 or 3 weekends per semester for hands-on weekend laboratory workshops.Ìý All clinical rotations for MLS and HTL must be attended in-person but can be arranged at various hospital affiliate locations throughout the state of Florida.Ìý Both specializations are accredited through the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). Although clinical internships must be completed in the state of Florida, MLS and HTL students are not required to locate to the Miami area for our degree program.

Students in the Laboratory Management specialization can choose to take all their coursework fully online.Ìý There is no in-person requirement to complete the master’s degree in this specialization.Ìý This degree program is available fully online to students all over the United States in a synchronous online lecture format.Ìý Because we offer the HyFlex modality of delivery, students also still have the option to attend their classes in-person.

All specializations culminate in a capstone project, where students will conduct a directed research project around a clinical case study.
