How Our Graduates Are Prepared
- Our graduates are classroom ready in early childhood,Ìýelementary, or special education teaching, with a content minor in one of the following areas: Math, Science, Literature, or Social Science.
- Our graduates receive a State of Florida endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) that help effectively educate linguistically- and culturally-diverse children.
- The State of Florida has reciprocity agreements with other states so it is easy for our students to become a certified teacher in another state.
- Students can obtain a Master of Science in Education (MS) in one year, which increases the chances of earning certification outside of Florida. Receiving the master's degree broadens our graduates' career options, allowing them to pursue teaching elsewhere.

- Our graduates receive a content area minor in General Science, Literature, Math, or Social Science and are eligible for Florida certification in grades 5-9 in the chosen content area minor.
- Our graduates receive these State of Florida endorsements:
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
- Reading
- Students complete a one-year internship in either the fourth- or sixth- largest school districts in the country: Miami-Dade County or Broward County, giving them experience with culturally- diverse groups of children.
